Right after high school, under the guidance of my father and his network, I launched my first busines, a commercial landscaping operation. My weeks were packed organizing materials, operating machinery, and managing crews on subdivision job sites. I learned early on that business growth didn't come from fancy promises; it came from doing the work, word-of-mouth, and running a lean operation.
When a back injury put me on WorkCover, I landed a temp role at a Sunshine Coast marketing agency. I went from pouring concrete in the heat to learning digital marketing in the air conditioning. Hands-on across dev work, SEO, Meta & Google ad setup, and client meetings, I helped scale that agency from just the owner and myself to 6 full-time staff and over a dozen remote contractors.
The Corporate, Agency & Enterprise Battlegrounds
In-House Scale (STEPS): As a web dev and marketing specialist for a over 500-person national non-profit charity, I learned how big organizations operate—their massive strengths in government contracting, and their weaknesses in slow legacy infrastructure.
High-Performance Agency (Growth Huntr): Headhunted to run performance ads for top brands (Webber, Boody, PE Nation, Peppermayo, and advising the board of Playboy on online marketing).
Google Recognition & Innovation: Selected by Google for a $120,000 grant to build custom reporting dashboards to track true product growth. Managed teams that received Google’s Breakout Excellence Award for Australia & New Zealand—trained teams that continue to win industry awards year after year.
E-Commerce Velocity (TWO SAVAGE): As Performance Marketing Manager for an Australian sunglasses brand doing massive volume out of Perth, I saw what true high-velocity e-commerce looks like from the inside.
After traveling to Sydney, working directly alongside Meta, Google, and TikTok reps, and managing ad budgets scaled from $5k a month to $5k an hour, I realized a fundamental truth:
Marketing doesn’t fail inside ad accounts—it fails in business decision-making.
Today, alongside marketing consulting and training, I still jump back into landscaping and build fences a few days a week. Why? Because building things with my hands keeps me grounded. It reminds me that marketing isn't an abstract game of click-through rates—it’s about whether a business is actually healthier and more profitable when the dust settles.
Whether you’re accountable to a boss, a board, or your own bank account, my goal is simple: cut through the noise and give you the exact omnichannel frameworks that drive real profit.
